I no longer develop or maintain get_iplayer (see my reasons here). However it is still fully maintained by others here.

The below projects use get_iplayer:

  • Automated Windows Installer for get_iplayer – Simon Dible
  • get_iplayer Web PVR Manager (cross platform web GUI) – Linuxcentre
  • Beebotron Helper for get_iplayer – Kronalias
  • Native MacOSX Cocoa GUI – Christine Caulfield
  • GET IPLAYER AUTOMATOR, MacOSX GUI – Thomas Willson
  • get_iplayer GUI Remixed (KDE Kommander)– Mike H
  • javafxiplayer (a JavaFX based GUI)– Stephen Galbraith
  • get_iplayer GUI (KDE Kommander)– Greg Sheldon
  • MythVodka – MythTV iPlayer plugin – Richard Ablewhite

I have today downloaded and installed the latest automated installer getiplayer 2.4+ to run on windows xp. It brings up the error message ….error: duplicate option defined ‘itvnothread’ -> ‘nmsnothread’ and ‘itvnothread’ …… and will not activate the program feed. Up to yesterday, for the past 6 months, I was running an earlier version of getiplayer – it worked wonderfully – but when I try to reinstall that earlier version I also get an error message and no feed. I have even tried using windows restore point function to go back to a working earlier setting of getiplayer – but unsuccessfully. Now I am stuck. Could you please tell me how I can rectify this.
