long preamble to audio programmes

Postby Fred » 03 Mar 2010 19:06

In the audio offerings from the BBC, at least for Radio 4 and BBC Radio 7, the programmes tends to have the end of the previous programme at the beginning and the beginning of the next programme at the end. Whilst this better than missing parts of the real programme it's still awkward to have to fast forward through the programme to find the start and similarly at the end of the programme.

Is there any indication in the meta-data of when the actual programme starts?

Try asking the BBC. They have an iPlayer forum.

it's better to have bookends than truncation :-)
ps - and no, fyi I don't believe (and I've never seen evidence that) there's any metadata that describes the actual location of just-the-show

is finding the beginning of a show really that awkward?!
