Overview of Existing Network

The school's network set-up is as follows:

  • 6 Wireless Access points (ieee 802.11a/g) with a common ESSID, keys and different channels (to allow roaming without overlapping channels).
  • A 24 port 10/100 Ethernet switch.
  • A single IP subnet as follows: 
Network: 10.104.186.0
Subnet Mask: 255.255.254.0
Default Gateway (to LEA provided proxied internet connection): 10.104.186.1
Internet DNS: 10.100.249.245
  • No DHCP
  • Internet proxy server (with LEA provided websense filtering): 10.104.186.250
