PVR Download Exemptions

Is there an easy way - short of removing a PVR search for a week and putting it back on again - of marking an episode of a programme as 'exempt' from download?

The kind of situation I'm referring to, is like if you set the PVR to download Friday Night with Jonathan Ross every week, but one week you watch it on TV so you don't need to have it download. If there isn't an actual command for that, is it advisable to try and fudge the download history so Get iPlayer won't keep trying to get it?

Rather than fake the download history, it is probably easier to create a dummy file in your --output directory with the name the download would have had. get_iplayer will then skip the download. Is downloading an unwanted file enough of a hardship to be worth the effort?
