[solved] Streain and recording .mov url from zdf

Dear get_iplayer developers,

first of all thanks for the fantastic job you are doing!

I have no problem in searching, streaming and recording from BBC.

I have tried to stream and record the following program:

http://hstreaming.zdf.de/zdf/300/100216 ... us_mit.mov

whilst I can easily stream it with VLC I cannot do it with get_iplayer.

I have tried:

get_iplayer --pid=http://hstreaming.zdf.de/zdf/300/100216_aufdoktorkommraus_mit.mov --get
get_iplayer --url=http://hstreaming.zdf.de/zdf/300/100216_aufdoktorkommraus_mit.mov --get
get_iplayer --pid=http://hstreaming.zdf.de/zdf/300/100216_aufdoktorkommraus_mit.mov --player="vlc"
get-iplayer --pid="http://hstreaming.zdf.de/zdf/veryhigh/100216_aufdoktorkommraus_mit.mov" --type=tv
get-iplayer --pid="http://hstreaming.zdf.de/zdf/veryhigh/100216_aufdoktorkommraus_mit.mov" --type=tv --stream
get-iplayer --pid="http://hstreaming.zdf.de/zdf/veryhigh/100216_aufdoktorkommraus_mit.mov" --type=tv --stream -g

I am using get_iplayer 2.41 on kubuntu 910 64 bit.

I'm not sure where you go the idea that get_iplayer can get arbitrary streams from unsupported sites.... It sadly cannot. See the home page.
